If the digital download was cheaper at the time I was shopping, I would likely get it (assuming it is more than $5-$10 cheaper than EB Games sells for), but on that same token, if the physical copy underwent massive price drops (I'm looking at YOU FF-13) then I would be stupid to go for the digital copy if they didn't budge. I might aswell just sell them privately if I really wanted to get rid of them.īut you are right about price drops though, which is why I would likely not go completely in favour of Digital Downloads. Trading them in for a minor discount on a new title doesn't really seem too good. I still have a whole bunch of my old SNES carts and lots of titles from the PSX/PS2 eras. Well it depends though, I don't look at the trade-in factor at all seeing as I have never traded in games. If they did a similar move when the Go came out then it'd be a lot better (maybe not Go sales but certainly their digital distribution services). I'm glad to see the Vita taking a step in the positive direction but it's certainly not enough. One of those is bullshit, I'm sure you can tell which one.ĮDIT: For the record I remember Microsoft saying pretty much the same exact reason to justify the abnormal price gaps. PC digital distribution sees it as "you're missing the physical packaging so here's a price discount" while console digital distribution sees it as "You're getting it quickly so we're making it more expensive". The regular version on Games on Demand is $60. Here's a rough example: A quick Amazon search shows Mortal Kombat (the most recent one) at about $40 new, the Komplete Kollection (coming soon) is about $60 (which includes all the DLC). ![]() ![]() Game prices are usually $10 more on Games on Demand, the exact opposite of what I was demonstrating. Its not by any means game breaking, its just a shame to see is all since the rest of the game is really awesome.Great game, great purchase…and a must own for fans of this genre.Simple solution: non-PC digital distribution is shit for customers.Įver go to Games on Demand on Xbox Live? It's a complete joke. I definitely feel its well worth the money, sure maybe 30 bucks is a better price point but isnt that the case with most games? So whether you get it for the listed price or find a better deal, its a great game, and a good time…well worth it.The only drawback is the occasional framerate stutter, and thats the only reason im giving it 4 stars. And there is a ton, and i mean a ton of loot to be had in this game. So for 40 bucks, youre getting a game that is meant to be played with this type of control setup. The game is pretty huge, especially if you plan to tackle all the trophies but the beauty is that each class feels unique, and fun. I have no idea about really any of its former releases on pads or what not, but i dont really care either because a game that is played on “real controls” like the vitas analogs is priceless to me. But clone talk aside, most hack n slashers stick to a similar formula, so whether its Diablo, Champions of Norrath, console Baldurs Gates, Dungeon Siege, it doesnt matter…this genre has the same feel.If youre a fan of hack n slashers, get this game asap. People say its a diablo clone, well last i checked Diablo is an awesome game so if its going to be a clone of something id rather it be of something really good.
